Are you ready for the big game?

This past weekend July 31st- August 1st Battle hosted its first preseason showcase in Atlanta. Let’s Just say it was some good football, some bad football and some ugly football games on display. The event was hosted out at McDonough High School a top Tier facility. You had a few of the top ranked teams of all age groups at this event. Saturday afternoon you had Number 1 ranked RDU 7u play a great game against Number 2 Hapeville Hornets 7u. Both defenses were playing at high levels as no one scored. The game was called and ended as a tie after some huge misunderstanding that I won’t go into further detail about because kids were injured. The game following RDU v. Hapeville was nothing less of a thriller. You had the #1 ranked RDU 10u v. a unranked Rarebreeds. If you didn’t catch the game or no one told you who won you’d probably never guess who actually won. Well I’ll tell you Rarebreeds won the game with a hug stop on the 3 yard line with the time running out.

HOW ABOUT THOSE GA EAGLES?

They’re always fly, they’re loaded with top tier talent, they have experienced coaches that actually played in the NFL and again they’re ALWAYS fly. The Eagles hit the scene in that powder blue uniform trimmed in Kelly green. This is their 5 scheme this preseason and after speaking with some parents it’s more to see. They went on to beat the Ga. Buckeyes 8u 32-0.

DID RDU REALLY SCORE 50 POINTS?

Coming from a tough battle against Hapeville 7u. RDU had game 2 scheduled on Sunday August 1st against ABA 7u. That game quickly got out of hand as RDU put up 28 points in the first half. It’s like whomever touched the ball scored. The whole Stadium was at boredom watching that massacre I believe you even had coaches sleep on the sidelines. My question is did ABA honestly think they were ready for that big game?
