Youth Football in Georgia is back!

Last year was the year of the pandemic. This year the state isn’t at scare anymore and it’s official youth football is back baby. I’m not going to sit here and say I didn’t enjoy that pandemic football lol. There were good times as well as bad times. Georgia was blessed by a few great community leaders to make a football season happen “The League”. Teams joined forces, organizations forced closure, parents held out, kids were auctioned, games were played, win lose or draw there were still a champion crowned at the end. You have some that argue last season shouldn’t be counted for because it really wasn’t earned. After the pandemic fall ball there were even more football played. The semi pandemic ball better known as spring tackle football. If you missed that part of the season then you missed quite a bit of entertainment. Teams really were assembled with other team players. Those same teams also won spring tackle leagues.

Well the new and competitive AYU formally YFA & GA D1 combined leagues and announced it will be interesting this go around. There offering 2 sides National and Competitive with the chance of playing for a national championship at AYF. You also have the MAYFL, NWGYFL & AYFL that is back and improved. Then you have the CCYA a fairly new league ran by some well respected members that’s been around for over 20 years. It shows because the plays there making are Elite. CCYA is accommodating everyone on all skill levels as they add regional and national play.
